Just finished reading Skim by  Mariko and Jillian Tamaki. I really liked it. The art was really beautiful and something about the paper or the black and white illustration-type drawings with gray shading hardcover or something reminded me of children’s books. The really good ones. But besides that the story is quiet and a little sad but really good. There’s love and people being idiots and beautiful drawings and journal entries that are nonspecific and completely honest all at once. and I liked that the ending was not super-neat and tidy. It felt like things were going to continue on past the end of the book. Which can be unsatisfying sometimes, but in this book it works, I think.go check it out.
