I should be studying more for the midterm now, shouldn’t I?

More obsessive pimping of James Jean: his sketchbooks are really awesome.

In other news: At Cartoon Allies we had a panel with a bunch of the cartooning teachers on friday night, and it was so great. They all talked about how they got to be where they are, and what they think about things and even who would win in a death match. It was really awesome, and I am so stoked for next year, when I will actually be taking cartooning classes. It’s also kind of scary, because what if you’re no good, you know? But mostly I’m excited. I’m also kind of in awe of kids in club who are freshman and are already self publishing something, or others who just filling up a little sketchbook with all these awesome drawings of whatever. Rock on cartooning/illustration people.

So then on the train to NJ I felt like drawing but all that came out were weird doodley people and myself as a bug again. It’s a reoccurring theme now, or just an easy out when I get annoyed with a drawing-‘oh, what the hell, I’ll just draw myself as a bug again.

I’ve also been obsessed lately with “the shining” and “four leaf clover” by badly drawn boy, which my friend sent me last week. I love getting good music.
