My new favorite Pokemon
After getting sucked into the bulbapedia a while ago, I discovered what is undeniably the best pokemon ever.
come on! It’s the bastard lovechild of:
one of those deeply disturbing angels from Neon Genesis Evangelion:
and some kind of Hayao Miyazaki monster/robot:
plus probably a miyazaki FOREST.
and maybe also a dash of a hollow from bleach:
also apparently it’s the king of the golems. Badass.
I kind of want to buy the game it’s in (uh, which one is it in again?) so I can you know, actually fight with it. But there are too many reasons I shouldn’t. so for now, I will enjoy Regigas from afar. Or watch the movie it’s in. But this is also doubtful. Sorry, Regigas!
(who am I kidding? the LOL-factor alone may compel me to watch that movie)

Isn’t there a CD with a cartoon-themed title?
anyway, I’ve been kind of regressing in that I suddenly am watching bunches of anime (well, kind of) and some cartoons.
you should all check out flapjack, which is on cartoon network, or cartoon network.com. it’s really cute. and I am kind of in love with the way the ocean and sky, etc looks in it:
I’ve also been watching the anime Lucky Star. while not as good as The Melancholy Of Haruhi Suzumiya which is the other anime I’ve been hooked on lately, Lucky Star has kind of grown on me. It’s still kind of the poor man’s Azumanga Daioh, though.
I think my next post may be a really weird picture-filled thing about why a side character in a random manga is awesome. look forward to it!

so, I’m getting back to work on the comic, and that’s good. I need to plan like crazy at this point, and I think that’s kind of what I hate the most. I keep trying to make my pages less….uniform? I mean, I got this jarring thing when I was reading some manga for the first time in a while, and looked at how crazy the pages are. like, there’ll be like, pages with two or three panels, and then the next has like, a completely different layout…
I’m not going for a fully manga-ized style of telling a story, but I want to keep it in mind, you know? hmm.
I want to make this today: catbus papercraft

I am so happy.
I got the yotsuba soundtrack (a soundtrack? for a manga? whatever) from here.
and it was free. ohboyIamsohappy. anime and consequently their soundtracks are my old-and-now-new obsession.
I am kind of a soundtrack fiend, now.
and anime I have totally been watching suddenly:
-the melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya (bizarre. but also hilarious, especially the first (er, 11th? damn weird order) episode.
-ouran host club
-kamichu (so cute.)
I didn’t really like Lucky Star, though I thought I would meh.
/animedorktasticalness.
the title of this post should really be: we now interrupt our broadcast for anime talk.

music
I’m obsessed with music lately, especially soundtracks for movies/tv shows and just remembered how anime can have good ones. Azumanga daioh’s has this great mix of recorders and xylophones stuff that is just perfect for the show and is great to listen to.
anyway.
I am going to go download loads of it online and then I will be buried even further under my piles of music to listen to.
in that vein, check out this awesome opening to the anime for ‘honey & clover’, which I’ve only read the manga of.
